The American Firearms College was founded by Gary E. Jackson of ShotsFired.Pro in early 2019.  Courses are available in Basic Introduction to Firearms, Advanced Firearm Training, Women's Defensive Handgun, preparation for Concealed Carry permits, Countering the Mass Shooter Threat, State Gun Laws, the Law of Self-Defense, and certification as a United States Concealed Carry Instructor, where you can offer training to others in these subjects.

The 2-Day Course includes Lecture, Breakout sessions, Teach Backs, Live Fire Exercises and a Shooting Qualification. It will prepare you to be a Certified Firearms Instructor with the ability to teach the USCCA Curriculum. In order to take this course, you must have excellent safe gun handling skills and a positive attitude.

Required Equipment for the 2-Day Instructor Course

• Firearm with 2 extra magazines (3 Total) or speed-loaders
   
• Minimum of 100 Rounds of Factory New Ammunition *No Steel or Reloads
   
• Quality Strong Side Holster *No nylon or flimsy holsters allowed: Your holster must not collapse on itself. Your holster must completely cover the trigger guard and fit your gun.
   
• Belt * Must be a quality thick belt that supports your gun: No nylon or flimsy belts allowed
   
• Magazine pouch
   
• Eye & Ear Protection (electronic preferred)
   
• Concealment Garment
   
• Brimmed Hat

3. Sign up for the eLearning and for your required Instructor's Toolkit.
    
4. The $250.00 charge is paid directly to the USCCA.
    
5. Completion & of the eLearning with a score of 90% or better is required two weeks in advance of the class to participate in the 2-Day Instructor Course.

* Classes, training and / or certification are for individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law. Individuals who have been convicted of a crime of violence are disqualified. In compliance with U.S. Federal ITAR Regulations, Student must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident with a Green Card.

We also offer a full day's course in the Law of Self-Defense (see below).  This course is equal to a Law School course, if one was available (which there are none).  This course is available to laymen and attorneys.  Special rates are given to those that are taking the USCCA Instructor Certification class simultaneously.  This is an eight hour intense class and includes the book The Law of Self Defense.
